These Boron-Lined Proportional Counters were made by PHOTONIS and represent an excellent way for measuring neutron radiations in source range of nuclear reactors. They can also be used to replace the He3 counters in homeland security instruments. These units feature a pulse operating mode, a water proof HN connector and 10B boron layer. The standard PHOTONIS counters, designed for the safety instrumentation start-up channels of all AREVA PWRs, use vapor deposition. Additionally, the integrated mineral insulated cable is also available, enabling maximum efficiency in the extreme operating conditions of fission chambers. Operating temperatures max 200°C.
